The collection is sourced across Southeast Asia, with select pieces from further afield, and grows weekly with pieces bought and traded in from private collections across Singapore.

We built The Bougainvilla to remove that doubt, and we do it in a way that costs us something, because that is the only kind of promise worth making.
Every piece we sell is covered by our Buyback Promise: bring it back and take 70% of the sold price in credit, or 50% in cash. A seller who inflates prices could never offer that, because they would lose on the return. We can, because we price every piece at a number we would be glad to own it again at. We photograph the real object, in real light, and we note every mark, repair, and imperfection in the listing. Where we cannot be certain of a piece's age or origin, we say so plainly rather than invent a story.
This matters because our pieces are one of one, bought for their age and condition, and those are exactly the things a rendered image would flatter away. The split in the saddle, the worn gilt, the softened lacquer: that is the piece, and you are entitled to see it before you decide.
You may see styled or generated imagery from us in advertising and on social media. That is illustration, not inventory. The listing is the record.

Every item must be structurally sound and display-ready. We note all wear, patina, repairs, and imperfections in every listing. No surprises.

Every piece is priced to reflect its true worth, typically 25 to 40% below what comparable pieces command at galleries and traditional dealers. Not inflated, not undercut. Our buyers trust that what they see reflects genuine value.
