Whether you are selling a piece from your own collection or bringing back something you bought from us, you can take cash or trade-in credit. The rates differ, and credit is always worth more, because credit keeps you in the collection.
We assess the piece, agree a fair selling price with you, and then make you two offers on that price: 35% in cash, paid immediately, or 50% in trade-in credit, usable on anything in the collection. Credit is the better value if you are upgrading; cash is best when you want a clean, fast sale.
Anything you bought from The Bougainvilla holds its value here. Bring it back and choose 50% of the sold price in cash, or 70% of the sold price in trade-in credit. The sold price is the price of the piece itself; delivery charges in either direction are not part of the calculation.

The promise holds for 24 months from delivery at Collector level, and extends to 48 or 60 months for Connoisseur and Patron members, after a minimum of six months of ownership, provided the piece returns in the condition it left us, allowing for careful display. Return of the piece to us is arranged and borne by you. Credit is usable on anything in the collection. See the membership tiers.
We can stand behind our pricing this way for a simple reason: we would not have sold you the piece unless we were happy to own it again.

Vintage home decor, decorative art, Asian heritage objects, mid-century furniture, ceramics, metalwork, carved wood, and distinctive collectibles. Items should be in good condition with genuine visual or historical appeal.
We consider pieces with an expected resale value of SGD 250 and above.
