A matched decorative pair of kneeling temple guardians in the Burmese Mandalay style, shown in the anjali gesture of respect. Carved in wood and finished in the traditional manner: white crackle lacquer for the skin, richly tooled gilt for the crowns, collars, and robes, and coloured mirror inlay throughout. Sold as a facing pair, they flank an entrance, console, or altar beautifully.
